I am an Assistant Professor of Ophthalmology who specializes in neuro-ophthalmologic disease. In practice since 2008 in Brazil, I spent my early ophthalmology career in both private practice (Vision Oftalmologia) and a renowned specialty eye care hospital (Instituto de Catarata de Brasilia ) in Brasilia, Brasil. In the U.S., I served as Chief Medical Officer at Rheumagen in Denver, Colorado before joining Bascom Palmer Eye Institute in Miami for a neuro-ophthalmology fellowship. I am a native of New York, NY, but was raised in Brazil from an early age. I am an avid mountain biker and enjoy occasional trips to Brevard and Pisgah National Forest. I live locally with my wife and three kids.
