Charles Gomez, MD, is a board-certified orthopaedic surgeon joining the Erlanger team after 4 years of practice in Macon, GA, at the Beverly Knight Olson Children's Hospital. Dr Gomez has a unique history with Erlanger, beginning nearly 20 years ago. After becoming an EMT-IV, he began working in the emergency room at Children’s Hospital at Erlanger as a patient care tech. It was there that he realized the importance of patient, family-centered care and developed a passion for orthopaedic conditions in children. After completing his Biology degree from UTC, he attended medical school at the University of Tennessee Health Science Center.
