I’ve had an outstanding experience with Dr. Fernando as my primary care physician. From the very first visit, it was clear that she truly cares about her patients. Dr. Fernando has an exceptional bedside manner—calm, compassionate, and always attentive. She takes the time to really listen to my concerns, ask thoughtful questions, and never makes me feel rushed. What I appreciate most is how thorough and clear she is when explaining symptoms, diagnoses, and treatment options. Whether it's managing routine care or identifying when a referral to a specialist is needed, Dr. Fernando ensures that I feel informed and supported every step of the way. It’s rare to find a doctor who combines clinical expertise with such genuine empathy and communication skills. I’m grateful to have found a provider who makes healthcare feel collaborative, respectful, and personalized. Highly recommend!
I have been seeing Dr. Fernando and Dr. Cole for years now. The office is very professional, clean and punctual. Chris, who is in the lab, is phenomenal, gentle and so personable. Dr. Fernando is professional, thoughtful and thorough. I don't understand the lower reviews on here. I've never had a problem with their billing, follow-up or response.
Physical exams are covered by most insurance plans as annual routine check ups. When I arrived at Dr. Chandani's office, however, I was told that the exam would be split into two and that I needed to pay $130 out of pocket for the first visit. This is an extortive policy that can prevent patients like me from accessing our benefits. The reason I was given is that they "needed to get to know me," but physical exams are typically an hour long, which is plenty of time for new patients to introduce themselves to their doctors. They also mentioned blood work being drawn in the first visit and only explained in the second visit. This, however, did not apply to my case because I have lab and urine tests done already. It is also possible to do the lab tests during the physical exam, as many practices do, and follow up by phone or email to comment on the results. When I objected to the $130 charge, a tall man came to me to condescendingly (and aggressively) tell me that "they were private" and that "this is how we do things." I said that the policy seemed unreasonable and extortive from my perspective and he said that "this is business, like a restaurant, and you can go somewhere else." After leaving the practice, I made a couple of calls and I managed to get an appointment for a proper physical, with no extra charge, just around the corner in Plainsboro.
