Carin Knight, LCSW

Carin Knight, LCSW, is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker at Intermountain Health's Primary Children's Behavioral Health in Taylorsville, Utah, who has been providing therapy to children, adolescents, and families for more than 20 years. She is passionate about helping people find their strengths, gain insight, and build practical skills they can use in everyday life. Her work focuses on removing barriers—particularly shame—working through unresolved trauma, breaking unhealthy cycles, and navigating life's challenges more effectively. Carin believes in a client-centered, collaborative approach, balancing meaningful work with genuine empathy. She cares for patients facing a wide range of mental health challenges, including depression, anxiety, trauma and crisis, grief and loss, parent-child relationship difficulties, and parenting challenges. Carin is trained in several evidence-based approaches, including DBT, CBT, EMDR, TF-CBT, ACT, mindfulness-based therapy, family systems theories, and PMT.
