Discovered a few years back after seeing this counselor that my spouse was a Covert Narcissist aka Vulnerable Narcissist with NPD. My spouse now fully admits and recognizes this. Years ago he fully conned Bruce, so Bruce was essentially patting him on the back for his covert manipulations and exploitation. At the time I couldn't believe a counselor could be so gullible. Bruce had ZERO clue what he was dealing with, even though he was told. It was like dealing with a mens club that gangs up on women, then essentially blames the actual victim for not going along with a ridiculously unhealthy situation. Noticed in Bruce's description he has NO expertise in personality disorders, so if there's ANY chance this might be a possibility, this ain't your guy. He'll merely pat the perpetrator on the back that's victimizing and exploiting others, and give them additional leverage of their grandiose behavior, making an unbearable situation even worse.
