Dr Tieu took care of my husband after he had a spontaneous pneumothorax. At first we were skeptical that a pleurodesis was really required vs healing on its own and we were very concerned he would not be approved for a lung transplant if/when needed down the road. Dr Tieu gave us the space to process the info + assisted us in doing the necessary research with OHSU pulmonary team (where he was highly regarded.). My recommendation is to trust him and take his advice. He is not just selling surgeries. He is compassionate, caring and VERY good with complex fragile lungs. His entire team and office is wonderful. We owe them A LOT.   We are very grateful.
