I left in tears after a visit with Dr. Desai due to her aggressive manner when I disagreed about the value of my normal weight in my overall excellent health.  In other words, I refused the scale and instead of questioning me about my choice, she over-rode me very aggressively stating how my weight was necessary.  And that I could be underweight! This has never ever happened in my life.  I'm a female who is more muscular than most and would be considered overweight on the traditional BMI scale height and weight calculation.  I'm looking for another doctor.

I'd give Dr. Desai a "zero" rating if I could.  Many of the patients at her previous practice in VA cited her "transactional" nature, the cancelling of appointments at the last minute, her rudeness, and lack of compassion in regard to her patients.  My 97 year-old mother has experienced all of this with Dr. Desai, who is now in Greenville.  It's sickening that she'd treat a patient so vulnerable like that.  In my opinion, she's unqualified to practice medicine. We will be finding another physician.

Dr. Desai and the whole office was wonderful. I arrived early and was taken back right away. Dr. Desai is very personable and funny, and you can tell she really cares about her patients- she said demand to speak with her if the call center is giving me trouble because she always finds a way to work her patients in. It is also very convenient that the lab is on-site, and the results came back the next day.
