Everyone was very nice but something isn't right. I was charged 263 for periodontal scaling & root for 1/2 my mouth back in April 2024. Charged me another 263 for periodontal scaling & root for other half next day. I paid $564 oop. To be fair, my teeth are certainly not good. For the same procedure, they attempted to file a claim for more money with my insurance. My insurance denied claim due to "lack of response from provider for information".  And left it at that. I pay $600 year in premiums for dental insurance. I have 2 free cleanings annually. Basic, major, and preventive services up to $2000 per person covered annually. So was I upsold a procedure I did not need that insurance doesn't cover? Or did they collect from me just in case insurance denied, but gave up collecting from insurance because I had paid the actual cost in full? The quote they gave me for root canal and crown was far beyond any price my insurance estimates or is typical when researching online!  I will be discussing this more with my insurance.
