Anna herself is excellent. She was fantastic with my four year old. The nurse who did all of our in processing was also fantastic. The Scott and White billing department, however is awful. While I have had nothing but good experiences with the doctors and nurses I have dealt with, I still dread going to any Scott and White office because of the fight I know I will inevitably face with their billing organization. This visit, as with every visit my children have had with them for the past year was just for a routine check up and immunizations, which are 100% covered by my insurance company. But today the bills arrived and I find that once again Scott and White's creative accounting has left me holding a bill that I should not have to pay. Though my daughter received her check up and immunizations all within a 30 minute period in the same room, Scott and White chose to split up the charges. They billed for the check up, which my insurance company paid in full, but then charged a second bill for over $1500 for three vaccines and the administration of them. The insurance company only paid the portion of the bill for "vaccine administration," but because the charge for the vaccines was charged as "general pharmacy" they will not pay for that, because it could be anything. Scott and White is a horrible organization. While I would whole heartedly recommend Anna and her colleagues, I warn anyone, insured or not, that you will likely have to pay out of pocket due to the organizations shady business practices.
