A few years ago, I was referred to Dr. Walczynski, by a psychiatrist who I loved (who retired), for medication management.  When I started seeing her (and since), I was stable on my meds. She was compassionate but somewhat tone-deaf in her suggestions about how I might better my life (re: my sources of emotional pain).  I never asked her to (and she never suggested) change my meds, which is fine.  She has recently become unreliable for things like medication refills.  The last 2 refills in which the Rx needed authorization, I had to make several phone calls to obtain a response from her.  Honestly, I think her memory is failing.  She's easily in her late 70s, possibly in her 80s.  The mechanism for reaching her (the only way is to leave a message with an answering service and then receive a call-back) is inconvenient at best and was hellish while trying to sort out the refill issues.  I'm now seeking a different psychiatrist.
