Angel Roubin is extremely unprofessional and has demonstrated a complete disregard for the mental well-being, safety, and care for children. Despite having authorization, she will not communicate with HIPPA authorized parents so a collaborative, and proactive plan can be put in place to assist children in their struggles. I am a parent who has been trying to contact Angel Roubin with no response for over two months while my child has been under her care. Be aware, she is also practicing at Middlesex Behavioral Health. My daughter has been seeing Angel Roubin for depression and anxiety. She is 12 years old and has been exhibiting behavior that is very concerning to me. She is often very down and disconnected, she gets overwhelmed with anxiety (to the point of tears), and she is lacking confidence in herself. Often times these things tend to spiral and before you know it, kids are too down in a hole to help. I am trying everything to stay on top of her care progressively, and be very aware of what is going on so I can do everything in my power to help my daughter. I have been terrified that she may be getting into a dark place. I have tried everything possible to communicate with Angel and I have reached out numerous times to have a session with her. Over the course of almost 10 weeks, she has not returned countless voicemails, will not return my numerous emails, and I even reached out on LinkedIn. I have not gotten a response. It is clear that there is just blatant unprofessionalism and disregard for parental concerns. I should note, I AM my daughter's legal guardian, and I have shared custody with my ex-wife, with no restrictions. My ex-wife is the guardian that takes her to these appointments, and I have little control over who my daughter sees. Without question, we all know how important psychological care is for kids, especially these days. It is very sad that there are people like this in mental health, especially for children. Again, if you have concerns for your child, please avoid Angel Roubin.
