I too did not get reminder of appointment.  Missing my appointment almost caused me to not get my blood pressure medicine in time.  Office wouldn't return phone calls and not prompt with calls from pharmacy in the past.  I went to medcare for years before getting Mecca as my primary care physician.  I only saw him twice.  I saw Melissa (she is great).  I went with a friend who had multiple issues and he was so good at listening to her, that I chose him.  The office staff is rude and as others have said....they are doing you a favor to see you.  I am on here because I am looking for a new primary care physician.  I had multiple problems this last go.  I wrote them a detailed letter which I handed to them about how all my attempts had failed and they didn't care.  Overall, I have had good medical service over the 16 years I have gone there.  The rude office is too stressful for me to deal with.

Medcare/Dr. Mecca's office is a complete nightmare to deal with. They are apparently incapable of billing insurance correctly and can not respond to information requests by insurance in order to facilitate claim payments. Thus we, the patients are billed for services and procedures covered my insurance and when the bills are not paid they deny further service. We have been unable to fill necessary maintenance prescriptions due to the ineptness of the billing/business manager as well as receive treatment for illness. If you are a patient with insurance and paid for services I strongly suggest you partner with your insurance care coordinator to confirm if you actually needed to pay out of pocket for services or procedures they the insurance should have covered.
