Today my son saw Dr Sap for an ENT consult post fracturing his nose in a gym accident. He was REALLY nervous about having his nose reset-even though it was healing crooked & he needed it. Dr Sap was amazing! He set his mind at ease and really listened to us and let my son have a say during the whole procedure. His nose now looks SO much better! Thank you Dr Sapthavee! You’re amazing!

I needed sinus surgery and was referred to Dr. Sapthavee. He made me feel like I was his only patient. He answered my questions and welcomed my input. Post op recovery went smooth.

I went to see Dr. Sapthavee (an ENT) after my General doctor referred me to him after she saw a fungal infection in my sinus on an MRI. He assessed the situation and gave me the options he thought were necessary. He explained that a surgery was best to fix this problem and he explained what the surgery entailed and before during and after care. I asked for his input and he suggested I do a surgery to remove the fungus and I trusted him and went through with it. I’m so glad I did because I can breathe better, I’ve learned how to clean my sinuses since I now know what I’m allergic to, and I’m just overall happy with his and his staff’s care. Everyone at Scripps from the front desk to the nurses to Dr. Sapthavee were absolutely the best! I highly recommend him if you’re having any issues with your ears, nose and/or throat. Thank you!

Dr. Sapthavee is amazing. The turn around from our first appointment to follow-up after surgery was quick. His bedside manner was amazing and talked to you like a human. He is very down to earth and he is direct and succinct. My Husband is scheduling with him next. I highly recommend him!

I recently had some nasal corrective surgery (septoplasty, turbinate reduction, repair of nasal valve collapse) done by Dr. Sapthavee at Scripps in San Diego. I was 100% pleased with everything about the process and the surgery itself. Dr. Sapthavee explained everything in detail during our initial visit, patiently (and knowledgeably) answered all of my questions and set my expectations appropriately. The surgery itself was under general anesthesia (they started the intravenous feed and the next thing I knew I woke up, post-surgery) and outpatient, so I was able to leave less than an hour after waking up. Follow up care from Dr. Sapthavee (and Scripps) was excellent. I am already seeing some benefits from the surgery, although it has only been about a week so I don't yet know what the long term benefits will be. Regardless, things couldn't look better at this point in time. I couldn't be happier with everything -- I highly recommend Dr. Sapthavee.

Dr. Sapthavee is the absolute best and caring doctor! I had a deviated septum and nasal polyp of which I was unaware. When I decided on surgery, he explained the pre-op, operation plan and post-op procedures very clearly and attentively. He answered any and all questions for me. Every office visit has been so pleasant. He is so kind and has the best bedside manner. I would highly recommend him, and would not hesitate to have any other surgery from him, if needed.

Whilst Dr. Sapthavee may not have the best bedside manor for patients with a lot of difficult questions, he still listened very well and did excellent work. My nose had multiple problems going on and though it wasn't completely fixed in the first surgery, the second produced results beyond that of a normal ENT and he's actually a great plastic surgeon. I hope the person whom left a negative review about him on this site got the help they needed, but it sounds as though their case was a super special one. Mine was too and needed more than one procedure, not at the fault of Dr. Sapthavee. I received wonderful care and will continue to use his services as indeed I have other ongoing conditions. Thanks Dr. S.

On April 12, 2022, I had Mohs surgery on my upper lip and on the area under my nose to remove a basal cell carcinoma. 
Dr Andrew Sapthavee was the surgeon designated to repair the wound and bring
the folds of tissue back together. After he completed the reconstruction surgery, I looked at my face in a mirror and was horrified. I had black stitches from the bottom of my nose to under my lip. My mouth was skewed to the side
and a thick, hard scar ran from the top of my lip to the bottom. The skin under my nose was, and still is, gathered together in a bumpy, painful pleat.

After 6 weeks, the bruising and redness has diminished but the scar and twisted area under my nose remains. 
I have continuing, debilitating pain. 
Dr Sapthavee is indifferent and condescending. He is finished with me. 
Recovery time went from being a month or two, to six months to ONE YEAR.
I have an appointment with a plastic surgeon in La Jolla to repair my disfigurement. When Dr **** viewed my surgery reconstruction, he couldn't believe it was done by a board certified plastic surgeon. 
Advice: Do NOT use Dr Sapthavee!
