Called before the visit and explained what I wanted to talk about (R-CPD) verified she would talk to me about it.
Called back again and double checked when I didn't trust the first answer, they assured me I would have my concerns address.
I waited alone for 45 minutes for her.
When she did come in, she began a normal patient intake exam - not what I asked for.
I explain again why I'm there, and she talks past me about how what I really need is a referral to a gastro to treat reflux (which has been diagnosed and I have been treating for decades)
I explain again that I'm talking about specifically when the throat sphincter prevents things from coming upward
She explains I would be having trouble swallowing if that were the case (that does not make sense, swallowing is when things go downward)
She gets out the scope and I ask what it's for
She explains she's going to examine my neck
Okay, score! She's listening! "Yes, that's why I'm here, I need you to examine those muscles"
She sticks the scope in, goes past the muscles, and continues to tell me how acid reflux is my issue
Once she gets it out, I explain that I understand, I've been diagnosed, and I'm there to talk about my throat muscles
She raises her voice over and over until I stop talking
I wait for her to finish her monologue and try again "I asked before I made the appointment, I am here for a very specif-"
She raises her voice again until I stop talking for the remainder for the appointment

I leave, feeling violated, and explain to the staff manager what happened, they tell me I won't be charged.
I receive a bill for a procedure I didn't ask for and call the general manager of the practice
He puts me on hold and gets her side of the story before I can tell mine, comes back and explains how I'm wrong about R-CPD, and that I would be having trouble swallowing if that were the issue. I get frustrated and accidentally use a single adult word, not directed at anyone but just a casual conversation word, and he hung up on me.

The kicker was when she had the gall to send me a letter saying they were refusing to continue seeing me as a patient for verbally abusing the two of them. Actual comedy gold. I challenge anyone with a spine to review the tapes.

Staff was nice.
