I had the good fortune to have Dr Andonis Terezides, DDS, Oral Surgeon, recommended to me. I was diagnosed with salivary gland cancer. It is rare, malignant and aggressive. It required an eight hour neck surgery and 33 radiation treatments to stop the spread. Before you can have radiotherapy around your neck and head, you cannot have any dental problems such as teeth with large fillings, fractures, cavities, significant occlusal wear or gum disease. Dr Terezides was professional and experienced. After his detailed analysis, he performed oral surgery that removed a number of teeth, scraped the jaw bones and sutured the gums. The ENT surgeon and oncology radiotherapy physicians inspected his work and all said it was a first class procedure he preformed. I was cleared to continue with the radiation. My cancer was stopped 100%. I have had no oral problems. I am profoundly grateful to Dr. Terezides for his expertise, friendly manner, and his part in gifting me more time in life. Lon Buie
