Biography

Dr Allison Webber is a specialist in kidney disease who cares for patients before and after they receive kidney transplants or combined kidney-pancreas transplants. In her research, Webber is interested in immune system monitoring and antibody-mediated rejection in kidney transplantation; she is a co-principal investigator or co-investigator on several industry- and government-sponsored studies in these areas. She is also interested in developing a kidney transplantation program for patients with end-stage renal disease from multiple myeloma (a type of blood cancer). She has partnered with UCSF's oncology department to establish a transplantation protocol for these patients.
