I had an appt. today with my neurologist Dr. Albert Heck...  it was follow up because he originally thought that I had migraine aura without pain several months ago and possibly abdominal migraine. Well, he came in like a pompous ass today. When I explained that the gabapentin was not really helping I still had the whole eye thing going on affecting my vision and such. I also explained the nerve damage that I have from the mastoid surgery I'd had in March. I explained how I have limited hair growth on that side along with smell and taste is not right since. He looked at me like I was nuts and said that nerve damage would not come from that surgery. He started on me about the eye issues I'd experienced and I told him that it was from the meniere's and he again said No that would not cause that. He told me to check with my balance Dr.  I explained that the abdominal issues I've been experiencing were indeed not migraine related that I have floating cecum with malrotation and he was like oh... well keep taking the gabepentin and I'll see you in about six months. He then asked me about work. I told him that I am still off and possibly having another surgery. He said well I suggest after this surgery you get back on the horse and get back to work. Ummm... really?!?!?! I'm pissed this doctor had no compassion at all. he was rude, pompous, and cocky. Needless to say I will not be going back to him. Grrrr.... He made the other doctors out to be stupid and liars. Ugh.
