I spoke with Dr. Costello's staff named Norma. Per Norma, it is their office policy to see new patient who has a Northwestern Medicine primary care physician. I am a Northwestern Medicine employee and I have a Northwestern Medicine Aetna PPO insurance that does not require a referral. Dr. Costello is an In-Network Provider of my insurance. Because of me not having a Northwestern Medicine Primary Care Physician, Dr. Costello's office refused to take me as a new patient. Having this kind of policy is ridiculous, and it is like discrimination.
