Dr. Mickelson is someone that I've seen for many, many years now. I know she understands me in ways its hard to find in many doctors. The fact she doubles as an OB to help oversee my first pregnancy is a huge bonus for me as well. While there are times she runs behind because she's on-call for deliveries or some patients that take longer to help, I try to be understanding and patient because I know others have more important health matters than my own. To add, I know Dr. Mickelson takes her time to ensure each of her patients is actually heard and the concerns are properly addressed. Again, something that is unfortunately harder to find in some providers these days. While I know it's not a guarantee it'd be really cool if she could be the one to help deliver my first baby. But regardless I'm thankful to have a doctor that's trustworthy, honest, and to the point with providing helpful information when needed.

Made the appointment months in advance because I know that it usually takes time to get in with Dr Mickelson. My appointment was moved to another date and time with only a mychart notice sent that I did not receive notification of, so I did not know my appointment was moved until 2 days before when I got a text. I arrived 15 minutes before my appointment-as instructed- but I wasn't called back until 15 minutes AFTER my appointment so I waited 30 minutes in the waiting room and another 15 minutes in the exam room for the doctor. No one alerted me that the doctor was running late. Dr Mickelson is great but the overall experience was disappointing.

I love this provider and I can see that she cares very much for each patient, with that said.the wait times at appointments are really not ok. From the time I checked in for my appointment, until I left the appointment was 2 hours!!!!! I waited almost an hour and 15 min just to be taken back. Then waited more! Then had 30 min with doctor. That is absurd, and is the norm. Every time I come in, this is an issue. I love my doc so I will keep coming, but for those of us that take time away from work for these appointments, it's incredibly frustrating.

Dr Mickelson and the care team at Edmonds's Birth and Family are and have been consistently people-centred; timely; equitable; integrated; and efficient. ALL of what patient care should be and why I believe this clinic and Dr Mickelson are the GOLD standard for health care within Swedish. I have been a client for ten years and have never been sorry my health and overall wellbeing is in their hands. Bravo Swedish for putting people over profit.

Dr. Mickelson is approachable and compassionate. She and her team are always so prompt to reply to MyChart messages, fitting me in to an appointment as quickly as possible. I contacted her care team and within 3 days was seen via telehealth. I had bloodwork done and was on the phone with her that day to address treatment options. She clearly cares about her patients and I am so thankful to have her as my primary care doctor!

There was a really long wait between seeing our doctor and waiting for vaccines for our 1-year old son; while we love the care we receive from Dr Mickelson and team, it's very challenging to be waiting in a treatment room with a baby for over an hour. I'd love to see improvements made on timing for wellness visits so that all the care can be delivered at once vs long waits between each part of the visit.

Visiting Dr. Mickelson is always a pleasant experience. She's very kind and clearly listens to my concerns. I never feel rushed during my check-ups, and the care feels personal, not like I'm just another patient to rush out the door.
