I have been visiting this doc for the last 2-3 years and he has always prescribed the 2d echocardiograph test citing 'cardiac murmur' which I thought was totally unnecessary for me as I don't have any heart problems. He recommended the same unnecessary test for my colleague who doesn't have any heart issues either. I guess my old health insurance company has been paying these bills fine and I never questioned the doc why he was doing the test in first place and every time the results come just fine. Now the echocardiograph m/c is located in his office, which explains why he's recommending the test to everyone of his patients. I don't trust this guy anymore and will stop visiting him. I think it's due to doctors like him the insurance costs in America are going up.
