Primary Care Doctor - Mount Horeb, WI

"I have been treated horribly by so many doctors. I was very ill & had so many symptoms. Many doctors dismissed me as a hypochondriac or a drug seeker so I stopped seeing doctors all together unless it was an actual emer. I had a decent doctor but she left the clinic. It took this clinic almost 2 yrs 2 find Dr. Shafer. I thought I would try her out. Best thing I ever did. She took me serious. Started referrals 2 many specialists for all my symptoms. I was diagnosed with an incurable autoimmune disease on my skin yrs prior but no doctor thought my other symptoms were related until Dr. Shafer. Turns out this disease is in many of my organs which led 2 heart failure, kidney disease, small fiber neuropathy, fibromyalgia, lung, spleen, lymph node problems etc. I ended up getting a pacemaker/defibrillator implant. Dr. Shafer took me serious & still coordinates my care. Without her, I seriously would have given up & wouldn't be here. She is amazing. We need more like her. Now pls don't go! "
