"After my daughter spent time in the ICU after an asthma attack and a rhinovirus diagnosis, Dr. Do perscribed her a medicine that had been discontined. After receiving a call from the pharmacy, I called the hospital regarding this error. I was told that the doctor was there and they would get a message to him. I waited for hours with no call. I called back to the hospital, explaining the situation again, the importance of this inhaler and getting another perscription. I was told by the person on the phone that my daughter was never perscribed this medication by Dr. Do. I told her I was looking at the paperwork and read her the discharge papers word for word. I was then told she was no longer his patien so at this point she needs to get a hold of another pulmonary doctor for a follow up and maybe they can write her perscription. This was about 3:30 Friday afternoon. I was able to get a hold of the doctor she was going to follow up with and they understood the importance of getting her a medication to help her breathe. She sent a perscription to the pharmacy for my daughter. Unfortunately the pharmacy had to order it and couldn't get it until Monday. Shame on Dr Do and St. Francis Hospital for dropping the ball on putting my daughters life at risk because they simply couldn't be bothered."
