"Negative stars!! BEWARE: Hirsch has a huge ego and does not like to be questioned. Over the phone, his staff instructed me to ask for a refill when I arrived at the office. When I followed these instructions, Hirsch literally yelled at me in front of other patients and staff, saying I should not have talked about meds with him at that time. He performed an unnecessary medical procedure that increased my pain. He did not listen to my concerns or description of where my pain was located and the severity, and did not perform a physical exam. Instead, he was about to perform an additional procedure that was not what we had discussed in office, and would not have addressed my primary issue. When I paused the pre-op to get clarification about the procedure, his nurse practitioner initially told me rudely they do not make treatment decisions based upon MRIs and the procedure is what we had discussed, then admitted he had made an error. The next day when we were scheduled to review my treatment plan, Hirsch "fired" me as a patient stating our relationship had become adversarial and he could no longer work with me. This action is a habit he seems to have - he has terminated other patients under very similar circumstances and has been sanctioned by the Medical Board. He is the most arrogant doctor I have ever had contact with in my almost 50 years. He threatened to kick my spouse out of the room for not making eye contact with him because she must have been angry (she had not spoken a single word). He falsely stated my medical record showed ongoing problems he had with me; I got a copy of my full record and there is nothing in writing because nothing ever happened. The record did show results of physical exams that he never actually performed during office visits. SAVE YOURSELF - GO SEE ANYONE ELSE - NOT DR. HIRSCH!!"
