"Made an appointment two weeks ago. Today, they call me to let me know that my insurance was not accepted. What?!!! I chose the Dr. from the list of my network doctors provided from Aetna website. I called Aetna and they reassured me that they were in my network. Called back Doctor's office and left a message, I have not heard from them since. I am not sure if they regularly check messages. They say they check insurance 24 hours before the actual appointment. Waiting 2 weeks to see an specialist and receiving a call a day before about insurance issues is very disappointing. It is sad that they don't check insurance thoroughly since they are in my network. They should inform patients about insurance issues at time of making the appointment. I had to make work arrangements and schedule an appointment with another Doctor. Weird, with this Doctor they told me right away that insurance was accepted and in network and I can be seen in two days! Office staff was very courteous and helpful in scheduling and verifying insurance! Both Doctors are listed in my Aetna's in-network list."

"I have gone to Dr. Kim for four years now. She's helped me get occasional flareups of my skin problems under control, and she's very thorough on my semi-annual cancer screening checks. I have a lot of skin damage from too much sun in my younger years, and some dermatologists have seen my skin and immediately started snipping biopsies. Dr. Kim is more conservative about this, which I appreciate! Unless an issue needs quick attention (and most don't with skin like mine) she just watches over time, and only takes a biopsy if something changes for the worse. She's also smart, compassionate and has a sense of humor. She and her staff are great, I highly reccommend her. She left Derm One some time ago, and now has her own practice, Pure Dermatology Center. It's still next to Baylor. "

"I went in for a minor skin treatment as a new patient. Before the visit I did the paperwork online and arranged copay payment, so when I arrived at the office I was taken to the exam room almost immediately. (8:30 AM appointment) She did a thorough examination and took the time to answer my questions and completed the treatment. I was in and out in about 30 minutes. "

"Like some dermas, she won’t give you an exam and look at a specific issue on the same visit. This is a scam. Avoid."
