"Went in to have a simple surgery to have a kidney stone removed. After the surgery was over, he went and met with my family (while I was supposed to be going to recovery) and he told my family that even thought the 15-30 minute procedure took 2 HOURS, everything was fine and they had time to go grab a bite to eat. My husband and my parents left the hospital to go across the street to eat lunch when they got a call saying they were moving me to ICU and had to put me on LIFE SUPPORT because I wasn't responding after my surgery. While in ICU, they found out that I had "fluid" on my lungs. So the "tapped" my lungs (aka: sticking a needle in your side and manually draining the "fluid" which turned out to be BLOOD and not "Fluid" like everyone had thought. 550 ml of blood is what was drained from my lungs. Spent the rest of the week in ICU only to find that no one would tell me how the blood got into my lungs. I then got moved to a regular room so that our children could see me, but I still wasn't allowed to go home because I still could barely breath. Another week in the hospital, I was finally discharged. Had to come back 2 days later because I had pneumonia. Was admitted back to the hospital and falsely diagnosed with "flash pulmonary edema" because nobody had access to my records from my surgery. After my second bout with pneumonia a few weeks later, I was told from another doctor that I should request a copy of my medical records, and contact a medical malpractice attorney. I printed my records off the hospital's website where I can see Dr. Khan's notes from my surgery. Not only did he lie in his notes saying that he "explained the complications" to me (I was still sedated) and my family, but he also put detailed notes about how he worked on my left kidney and he entered into the left side of my back (I HAD SURGERY ON MY RIGHT KIDNEY). Very concerning that we trust these "doctors" with our life. Not to mention, our insurance pays them A LOT of money for them to be careless and irresponsible. This has just been my ONE and ONLY experience with Dr. Khan."
