"After 2 positive antigen tests for Covid and having most of the Covid symptoms, I contacted USMD on a Saturday afternoon late. Dr. Courtney Barton was the physician On Call. She returned my call quickly, reviewed my USMD information and agreed to send an electronic Rx to my pharmacy. Unfortunately, it was too late to be filled until the next day. By Sunday, the next day, my symptoms had worsened and I began the Paxlovid treatment she had prescribed. Dr. Barton’s diligence in providing this medication as quickly as she could, made my experience turn around within a reasonable time. When we've gone over lab results together, she's explained what the results mean and has answered any questions I've had. She listens and checks out my concerns. She does not rush through my visits and I really appreciate that. Dr. Atrey makes referrals for me when they are warranted. "Let's start with the fact that he has many different degrees and certifications. The only "flaw" he has is that he will be honest with you; some people just can't handle that. He really knows his stuff and will work with whatever you need. You can't afford the medication you have been on? He will work his magic to find something that will work just as well or better. Didn't realize high BP if effecting the reason you can in today? Yep, he will get you going there. Honestly, he looks at the whole picture and will give you the cold, hard facts when you need it. He treats his staff well and leads by example. He is just a down to earth guy that makes you feel right at home and treats patients like family. This is not one Dr who is only in it for the money. One of my favorite lines from him is that YOU are in control. He is just there to guide you and tell you pros/cons."
