Sleep Medicine Doctor - Austin, TX

"I have chronic sinusitis and decided to see what options were available to me for relief. I found Dr. Thompson's name on my insurance's website as a covered provider and called to make an appt. I called and was told that Dr. Thompson was no longer with the practice in Dallas, but there was a PA named Lane Thurston who was in my network. I asked who they used for CTs and was told they were done in the office and were covered in network. My appt. was March 5 - I did get a CT scan, but there was no physical exam. The recommendation was a balloon sinuplasty procedure. I felt strange about the experience and decided to have a 2nd opinion. I used 2nd MD. It took them over 2 weeks to get my record - the office said that "their fax machine wasn't working". The 2nd opinion supported the recommendation, so I called to make the appt. That is when I found out the MD who was in the office was out of network. Unbelievable. I've called and spoken with a Kim Martinez and Erica - both work with the practice in customer relations. Not only has the service been awful and info has been inaccurate, I am concerned about the quality of the care I received."
