Pediatricians - Arlington, TX

"My son has been going to Dr.Keyes since he was about 2weeks. She is very patient, understanding and attentive to detail. She doesn’t leave u less all questions have been answered. I’m bringing my other kids to her soon. "

"I called to schedule a 12 yr old physical for my son and they gave me the next available appointment which was 3 weeks in the future (Aug. 24). We arrived at the about 10 minutes before the scheduled time; after about 30-40 mins I asked the receptionist how much longer. I was told we were next; at that time there were about 3-5 different families on the well side. At about 50 minutes after we were the only one in the waiting even the people who came in much later than us being seen except us. I have even seen some of them leaving and we were still in the waiting room. At that point, I told the receptionist I would need to cancel the appointment if weren’t be seen next because I needed to be home for an urgency work conference call. After 1 hour and 10 mins, we were called to the back where the nurse or assistant did height, weight and hearing test. I asked how much longer we would have to wait in the room, I was informed that there were 2 patients before us. I told her if the doctor didn't come to see us within the next 5 minutes I would have to leave because I have to get home for a call in 30 minutes and traffic was building up. Another lady came in a few minutes later to ask me if when I scheduled the appointment if they told me there was no doctor assigned to see my son; meaning when a doctor was available that's who would see my son because there are lots of physical. I told the lady that I have never heard of this practice and I will be leaving since the doctor wouldn't be in to see me for possible over 20 minutes since one of the patient before us at 3 kids being seen. She told me she could reschedule the appointment; since Dr. Patel was backed up. I was so upset, I told my son to get dress and I told the lady I was leaving and will be looking for another doctor to take my son in the future. I could understand if this was a last-minute appointment but I had to wait 3 weeks, I called and THEY gave me the next available appointment of August 24th. I picked my son up early from school and I rescheduled my conference call for an hour and a half later than my appointment. This was our second time at this office for well visit since we moved to Texas last August and it will be our last. Thank God my son wasn't ill because we would probably be there for over 2 hours. I would never ever refer my enemy to this group. The office on Mayfield Ave, Arlington, Tx is the worst ever! Can't judge a book by its cover (nice building and location but horrible staff)! "
