"This was my husband’s first and only visit at UPMC emergency department. He had to sit straight up in a chair for about two hours in the overflow room with a strangulated hernia in terrible pain. Got in a bay the doctor said how can I help you we told him about the hernia he didn’t say anything but pushed forcefully on on the stomach. My husband flew off the bed in terrible pain he told him your bowel is being strangled get a surgeon then he was sent home ! His first and last time going to this emergency room with this doctor. He’s a veteran and literally treated like someone from a third world country would be treated with little medical knowledge. No compassion he should have been admitted and gotten a surgeon. He had an appointment with Dr Kaneashiki the following Tuesday this happened on weekend. This could’ve turned out bad thank God it didn’t. "
