Dentists - Tigard, OR

"I have utilized this office for over 18 months, we moved from CA and needed a new Dental Provider. Please beware of this office. I recommended my significant other and my elderly mother what a huge mistake. First, Dr. Lam was kind, professional and gentle, her communication skills are poor. The office manager, Rachel tries to help and appears sincere. My elderly mother was treated by Dr. Kaur another Dentist in her office. She was treated with disdain because she refused deep cleaning of her teeth and told not to return to the office as they refused to continue to treat her. Dr. Lam concured with this approach when I called her. I visited post opeative ankle surgery using a boot and walker and was made to wait for over 1 hour and 40 minues for a teeth prophalysis and no one not one single person communicated with me the reason for the delay after making an appointment 6 months prior. What a waste of my time. The most significant is this, it borders on fraud. My poor elderly mom. They took an excessive amount of radiology pictures including camera shots of her mouth. I consulted a seond opinion and that local Dentist was shocked at the quantity of films over 17-20 different types charged at over 1K! Then the treatment by Dr. Kaur of disdain because my phobic dentist elderly mother who I have to convince to go once a year was treated so poorly and felt so upset I must write this. I am a retired RN and Hospital Executive. This bothers me the most: they have a Cercified crown machine in their office that makes a crown in 1.5 hours. They never tell you that if you choose the lab created crown which is sent out it will be paid for by your insurance the Cercified crown is out of pocket at least $400. After this my mom was hounded by phone calls to come back for her 2 crowns really?! After telling her not to return! My significant other was the one to tell me of this practice after he went because he asked. Me, I never asked not knowing and this was never presented to me in the financial disclosure at the time of service I paid thousands of dollars instead!! Please avoid unless you want dentists that are dishonest. They up sell you to pay for their in office machine, Cercified crowns, I have 2 and the lab created crowns by a previous CA dentist are much better, the in-house ceramic Cercified crowns do not have the crevices and markings that make them feel like a real tooth. Please avoid this practice unless you have money to blow and do not mind dishonesty. To say I am upset is to put it mildly."
