"Grant was my adolescent therapist at Kaiser Permanente in Union City for over 3 years, throughout which my psychiatric symptoms and suicidal behaviors worsened until I was placed in a residential school once I became physically unable to continue properly attending school. Grant boisterously admitted during one of our sessions himself that he "is a horrible therapist." He regularly rolled his eyes in response to me opening up. He told me I thought therapy was "bullshit" and I was not properly engaging with it anyway if I could not succinctly put my feelings into words. When I was recommended for an autism evaluation by an inpatient care team, Grant refused the idea, laughing and saying "us who know you here know you're not autistic." I was diagnosed with Level 2 Autism Spectrum Disorder and Hypermobile Ehlers-Danlos Syndrome after leaving school and dropping Kaiser Permanente. I am legally approved for federal disability and I will be disabled for the rest of my life in ways that could have been mitigated if Grant had listened or cared when I was a child."
