"I have been seeing Dr. Thornton for several months and am amazed by his coaching and reframing skills. He does a great job of incorporating psychology, biology, research and perspective to help you grow. He is creative in the exercises he uses to help me self reflect and understand myself, my past, and how I interpret the world. I was hesitant initially because he is a man and I wanted a woman counselor and bc he appeared too “young”for my liking, but he proved me wrong from day one. He is insightful and strategic in his practice. I have experienced tremendous personal awareness and growth due to our sessions! I’ve worked with several counselors over the years and Deshaun Thornton is by far the absolute best. "

"Filing a complaint do to the abusive behavior from Christine mcglashen,lcsw and Beverly Nichols, lpc towards alexzander mullins age 12 the client. Alexzander is my son and is seen paternally by the courts of Cleveland county, state of Oklahoma(decrees attached) This problem persist from 2 prior complaints made before this board against Beverly Nichols. I Allan mullins have allowed all parties to know I have a parental right both by state law ok state statute 25-2002 and federally s.984 and refuse for me to be allowed to attend my children's counseling. On the 25th of aug. Year 2022 there was an agreement between Christine and myself to have a conversation with alexzander mullins in regards to his counseling situation with Beverly Nichols(previous complaints to board). On this day I contacted Christine and allowed her to talk to alexzander as agreed. Christine had a conversation with alexzander where alexzander expressed to her not wanting his counseling done over the phone. Further alexzander express why, telling Christine that he lives in a trailer house and the walls are thin, that his mother(halie junas) and her bf ( Cody vuncannon) listen in. Alexzander also states he explained this to Beverly Nichols, and Beverly told him to deal with it. That he did not feel comfortable talking to Beverly. Christine then stated, alexzander was old enough to tell Beverly he wasn't in the mood to do the counseling. I interrupted Christine and politely asked if I can ask a question. Christine stated yes. I asked alexzander why he felt he couldn't communicate with his counselor. Alexzander stated to me and Christine that when his dad has went to his mother about some issues in the past that his mother got mad and got on to him for telling his father. Christine then expressed that she was sorry alexzander had to go through this and allowed him to exit the conversation. I further talked to Christine and expressed the concern of mental abuse to my child and asked for Beverly to no longer counsel him or my daughter( kezley mullins age 8) any longer. That I would recognize a different counselor from their establishment and stressed that counseling be done in person. I brought it to christines attention that I see this as mental abuse to my child for not being able to express himself in a safe and proper manner as to conduct.christine expressed that she would talk to alexzander a mother(halie junas) about the situation for christines establishment was not given all proper documents or information from halie. I asked for a letter from Christine stating this and Christine obliged that after notifying halie she would do so by email.said to give her a couple days. After this conversation I allowed 3 business days and contacted advanced therapy to get ahold of Christine. I have not gotten any email or communication? Christine was left a message to contact me for 5 business days and no contact. Come Sept. 3rd 2022 Beverly after these complaints still held a session with my kids. Alexzander stated to me that Beverly did apologize and stated to alexzander that phone sessions where a better idea because her office wasn't safe for the people around it. I feel this undermining to my son for they have had a session in Beverly's office prior. I feel it's a way to alienate me as the children's father. I have stated have have a parental right to attend my children's counseling and Beverly and Christine are alienating my right. 1. There is abusive behavior towards my son in which is misconduct. 2. 2. My parental rights as the children's father is being ignored. 3. 3. The best interest of alexzander is not being looked at. 4. 4. Unprofessionalism 5. I ask the board to interfere and do something about the misconduct to my son and get Beverly Nichols away from counseling either my son and daughter. I am seeking further legal action as to this as well and would just like for children to stopped being forced to counseled in an unsafe environment and to do just that counsel for a better life for them! 6.
