"My disabled girlfriend saw Dr. Bailey on 1/18/19 for some painful gastric issues. Dr. Bailey was going to prescribe a medication to help with the cramping, but first wanted a c-diff test conducted. We explained to her that my girlfriend had very recently had a c-diff test done. We told Dr. Bailey we would have it faxed to her from the previous doctor. The doctor stated as soon as she received the fax stating the c-diff test was negative, she would send the prescription to the pharmacy. The fax was sent to Dr. Bailey on 1/22/19. My girlfriend called Dr. Bailey’s office and they verified they had received the fax and they would check with Dr. Bailey about sending the prescription. We never heard anything back from the doctor office, so my girlfriend called twice more and every time the office stated they would talk to the doctor. On 1/30/19, I called the office to find out what the hold up was. They told me they had no record of receiving the fax. I called the previous doctor back and asked them to re-fax the document, which they did. My girlfriend then got a call from Dr. Bailey’s office saying they receive the fax but wanted the c-diff test along with other testing done before they would issue the medication (which is Levsin for cramping, not some opioid narcotic medication). So my girlfriend had been suffering further because of the incompetence of a doctor and her staff. Why were we told the medication prescription would be sent to the pharmacy as soon as the c-diff test was received? Why did the office acknowledge receiving the fax and later deny it? Additionally, Dr. Bailey’s nurse, Stephanie, hung up on my girlfriend when she tried to vent her frustration (she wasn’t cussing or yelling, simply explaining). I would recommend not seeing this doctor for fear you will get the same unsatisfactory service as we did. I have to wonder if it was a financial reason that Dr. Bailey wanted the exact same test done that had been done conducted a few weeks prior to seeing her. We will be looking for a new doctor who 1) cares about their patients and has time for them. 2) has a competent staff who doesn’t lose things. 3) is treated with the respect every patient should be. 4) is not given false information about health care.
