"He failed to correctly read at least three sets of CT scans and MRI's on me for over three years. This left me suffering needlessly day after day, year after year after year after year because of his incompetence and inability to read the x-rays and imaging correctly. I went to the local university orthopedic surgeons and they knew what was wrong right away and confirmed it with a CT scan and operated and three weeks later I didn't even need acetaminophen whereas Dr. Porcelli could only offer me more and more narcotics and other pain medications every year, year after year after year after year. Every day I was crying and screaming on the floor because of his incompetence. I would not trust anything he tells you and would go anywhere else to get another opinion if you already got one from him. He even operated on the wrong level on me instead of the one right above it where the damage was and which was my most likely diagnosis (based on my history and symptoms) and easiest to make. He probably could have directly diagnosed it with his eyes at the time he operated on the wrong level below it and made the area less stable and more painful. He even gets mad at me when I can't believe all he can offer is drugs. And tells me he can give me mental health referrals. If he knew how to read x-rays(imaging) I could have been properly treated four years earlier. He had at least three chances in three different years in a row to read the imaging (CT scans and MRIs) correctly and failed every time and said there was no indication for surgery. Stay away from him or go somewhere else if you already gotten an opinion from him since it's probably wrong."
