"Went to Neely Wade for unexplained pain in my pelvis and she recommended a laparoscopy to look for endometriosis, i denied at first because i had concerns but at another visit she told me its either the surgery, birth control, forced menopause, or a hysterectomy. She forgot multiple times why I was even seeing her, i told her my pain was not related to my period at our first visit together, yet she kept saying that my pain is with my period multiple appointments into my care with her, and was trying to get me on birth control, which would only help my period, not my actual pain outside of my period. Also i already on a great birth control that works wonders for me and can completely remove my period if i chose to do so. She said that with my symptoms she thinks that the surgery is a good option, yet when i read her doctors notes, she said that she was not confident that she would find endometriosis because my pain is not with my period. Every reputable gyno knows that endometriosis is not only pain with the period and i had even spoken to someone who has endo and they confirmed that their pain is outside of the period. This leads me to believe that if she proceeded with the surgery, that she would be purposefully negligent and wouldnt look hard enough for the root of my symptoms. She also is very misinformed about intersex people and hormone imbalances and told multiple falsehoods about both subjects."
