"I am an otherwise healthy eighteen year old who saw Dr. Alimohammad because I was having frequent palpitations, particularly when I got cold. I had particular questions I wanted to ask Dr. Alimohammad, particularly pertaining to if or how the hearts electrical rhythms can be affected by the cold. When Alimohammad came in, he seemed to be on a very tight schedule (I don't even think he spent 10 minutes with me.) He told me he could not answer my questions, but instead wanted to give me a quick and painless (and $5000) implant that would be injected into my breast and would read my heart's electrical signals for the next two years. He told me he wasn't sure what it costed but not to worry about it. Rather than trying to answer or ponder my questions, he told me that this was the way for him to know and tried to force me into a quick decision (I have to leave shortly to go to another patient! Let's do this quickly. It's quick and tiny and painless. You'll hardly feel a thing!) Alimohammed didn't walk me through any of the risks or benefits of his $5000 implant (which I looked up later) and was against me calling my parents to ask for their opinion (this opportunity won't last forever! If you wait, it may be weeks before I can get you this implant!) Eventually, I said "no", but Alimohammed kept pushing me to get the implant right up to when I left! I can't nessesarily say it to be true, but it felt as if Alimohammed was basically a salesman for the implant and cared more about it than any alternatives or me as the patient. I have since found out there is nothing wrong with my heart. The implant would have been expensive and made me susceptible to a wide variety of side effects and complications. I would suggest using caution around this doctor. "
