Psychotherapists - Staten Island, NY

"I had called to make an appointment 2 days ago, and of course the receptionist was very helpful, took my insurance info and said they are booked up for the week but could try to get me in. She also said there is texting to the office number. She said she'd call me by Friday to let me know about my insurance. Here I am waiting. Friday comes and it's 12:30pm. I finally got a hold of her and she said she was waiting on insurance because they told her even though they're in network, I have to pay the deductible of $1000 before I'm insured, which makes no sense. She gave me a reference number and of course she was wrong. They're in network so I just pay the copay of $30. But the thing that was horrible was I stated I have severe anxiety and needed a doctor and they were close and I also stated I had anxiety from the start and she said the doctor said he doesn't 'have time for me. ' what kind of doctor accepting new patients doesnt have time to treat someone who needs help? It was truly disgusting. It's so hard to find a doctor that will help and it's ridiculous how you'll turn someone away for something that you specialize in. "
