Gastroenterologists - Mount Kisco, NY

"Went to see this dr to schedule a routine 5 year colonoscopy. As per the recommendation of my previous ( retired) Dr. Dr Shor immediately told me she didn’t know why I had come back so soon. When I explained I had a family history of polyps she said ok but I think it’s unecessary… had the procedure, done and although my husband was in the waiting room. Dr shor proceded to give me her initial report while I was still groggy! She the left and the nurse told me I’d get a report in the mail. Two weeks later I had to call the office to have the nurse read my results as it never came in the mail. It showed and two polyps found, one with potential tail to turn into cancer. I asked when I should reschedule and the nurse said Dr Shor said 7 years! When I remarked that it was only five years since my last colonoscopy and I developed polyps why would she recommend that? The nurse asked if I wanted her to call me….I said yes and she never did! I have since gone to another practice and was told to come for a colonoscopy within two years! Dr Shor is completely without bedside manners and in the words of my new gastro Dr completely reckless with my health. DO NOT SEE THIS DR!"

"Doctor Geders sent me home after perforating my colon. I was vomiting blood, severe headache and fever, yet she sent me home! She seemed to know exactly what she did wrong and kept saying it was a "micro" perforation. bottom line, I almost died. She said to me, "this never happened to me before" I had to remind her that it happened to ME not to her. My husband urged her to give me IV probiotics and to stop the daily cat scans; my body healed but not until after I was in the hospital for weeks and given multiple dangerous catscans. I did not get litigious, but I do believe you should be aware of her casual attitude. Just because a doctor is "nice" does not make them competent!!! "
