Social Workers - Brooklyn, NY

"I met with Ms. Marthe Cantave. she is very judgmental and incompetent. I divulged identifying within the LGBTQ community and she was fixated on that. She was punitive and uninformed as she questioned my identity. She also asked me if the reason I am gay is to punishment my parents. She was not accepting and there was a lot of shame. I remember feeling humiliated and angry as this is someone who is supposed to be accepting. She was not warm, she did not create a safe space and was unable to elaborate on the treatment modalities that she uses. Ms. Marthe Cantave also brought her religious views into the session. She spoke about GOD a lot. There was a point where I had to ask if her Christian based views would impact the quality of work she provides to her clients. Prior to meeting with her, I requested a very specific therapist. I asked for one that has experience working with LGTBQ populations. Additionally, the front desk person was unprofessional. She was on facetime while I was waiting to turn in my intake packet. She left me standing there for about ten minutes without acknowledging my presence. There was also another client there too. We both stood there looking at her. I do NOT recommend 728 Beverly Road to any person. You will NOT be treated with care. I hope the staff/therapist receive more training. "

"My first time going there and even though dr. Lecube is in network I was told to pay $100 for the initial visit and after that it will cost $60. I called my insurance and my insurance explained that I had a health spending account and the office should reimburse me. So far I have not seeing the check yet. For the second session, Dr. Lecube was checking and replying to her personal emails, she was making notes on other patients charts, she didn't bother to ask me questions or even interact with me. After28 minutes waiting to see if the session would improve, I simply left the room. She does not care about patients. Quite the opposite, she's there to talk non sense with people who are new to therapy and don't know what to expect."

"Marina is a great therapist and specializes in many therapeutic practices, shes excellent in play therapy and EMDR, she has a great way of trying to understand you. Her only downfall is that English is her 5th language, so, unfortunately, she prefers to work with russian , georgian clients than English speaking because of the language barrier which is understandable. "

"I saw John for a few months until one session he abruptly hung up on me - without saying a word - and ghosted my texts. I was a reasonable client, never said anything harmful or personal, and I have no idea why he would have been worried about continuing or offended by me. Super weird, uncool, and unprofessional behavior from someone who is supposed to be a support. I would save your time, energy, and money for a better and therapist and a better person."
