Midwife - Reno, NV

"Unprofessional and dishonest! Such a terrible experience. She talked badly about me to other midwives in Reno so when I tried to transfer out, they wouldn't take me. She said to me, No one in town will take you. She tried to abandon my care, then tried to transfer me to the hospital before 41 weeks just because I'm a VBAC. She is scared of VBACs. She has the highest transfer rate out of all the midwives in the area and still collects all money if you transfer out. She showed up 3 hours after I called her in labor and kept saying she just wanted to slide in to catch when I asked she be there to help me through contractions. She doesn't practice evidence based care or informed consent. When she transferred me for my placenta not coming out in 45 mins she just called paramedics and didn't ask my permission. She tried to say it was a missed previa. I saw my ultrasound from a week prior myself - there was no previa and she knew it. She didn't try anything before she transferred me - I DID. I kept coming up with solutions. She tried to get me to have my scar thickness measured. That's not evidence based. When I asked for research showing what it would tell me, she said she didn't know what I was talking about. She was mad when I declined. She cut my birthplan meeting short and wouldn't go over it with me. She stood me up for two appointments and even told me to drive from Reno to Tahoe for one and then was rude to me after the two hour drive with my toddler. She kicked my doula and friend out of my house and yelled at her because she wasn't keeping my and her kids quiet. I almost transferred just to get away from her. Then she ghosted me when she realized she owed me money. She invades boundaries - like told me text her back when she saw my texts read receipts (I can see you read my text, you need to text me back) and made inappropriate comments about my husband and our sex life. "

"Do not trust her! At first Tiffany seemed really nice. I interviewed her to make sure it was a good fit. One of my questions was if I had a miscarriage would you refund the money. She said yes. She also said "I don't do this for the money". However, I had a miscarriage at 11 weeks and she refused to give any money back. We put down a $500 deposit to save our spot and she said this money would be refunded if something happened. No appointments were done, only some labs snd an ultrasound that she claimed she had to "interpret". In addition to her taking our money, she had horrible follow through. There were several things she said she would get back to me on and she never did. Including the refund, which took her over a month to respond. She tried ghosting me and not responding. She also wrote the wrong ICD code on my ultrasound so it looked like there was a history of fetal neural defect, which completely changed my ultrasound experience for the worse. I should have listened to the other reviews I read about her stealing money. "
