"Wonderful therapist , great with teens"

"I saw Grace Doctorow (I used to call her "doc doc," which I found hilarious at the time) for roughly five years when I was a teenager and only stopped working with her when I graduated high school in 2007. I was not an easy patient and found it super hard to open up. Regardless, she was lovely. Very sweet, gentle, containing, validating, and endlessly patient. She never made me feel badly when I missed sessions (even our last), and was a critical source of support and consistency throughout a really critical period in my life. I will always remember her eyes getting red when I was talking about losing my father; that meant so much to me. I also deeply appreciated that she never left me to flounder awkwardly in silence by myself, as many therapists at that time would do. She always helped me find a way to talk. I myself am now a psychotherapist (even a psychoanalyst) and consider her to be a significant reason why I went into this field. She remains a core model for how I do my own work. I still think of her often and am forever grateful for her care, kindness, and support when I really needed it. You couldn't find someone better. Thanks for everything, Grace. "

"This was supposed to be a virtual meeting (first meeting) and I was instructed that the doctor / office would be sending a virtual link one day prior to our session. They did not send a link the day before (or ever) and I did not receive a call after 15mins from the scheduled appointment, so I called the office. The gentleman said she was finishing a call and would call me right back. I asked him to confirm who he was calling back for the 1:30pm appointment, he said someone else's name, not mine. Then he said he was looking at the wrong day and got the name wrong but she'd call me shortly. After another 10mins, the doctor never called, so I called back. A different gentleman proceeded to tell me that there was a double booking and she was unable to take my appointment but they could reschedule me for next week. This office never had any intention of even calling me to tell me about the double booking and to reschedule me, I had to call 2x to get an answer. I will NEVER go back to this doctor because of the incompetence of the staff which is a reflection of this doctors work!! NO THANK YOU Gladys! "

"Jillian is an extremely thorough doctor who listens to make an accurate assessment to assess my needs and collaboratively create goals. You can tell she is invested in taking her time in listening and Making sure You feel heard and validated. She challenges my thought process and allows me to come up with my own answers or process things to come to my own conclusions that are in my best interest. She provides me with guidance and perspective for me to become the best version of myself. I highly recommend her."

"This lady is not educated on mental health, to say she's outright incompetent would be an understatement. She doesn't know how to treat anybody, let alone those who are seeking PROFESSIONAL help. "

"Jessica was the most compassionate, patient and professional care worker/therapist that I have worked with. She was sensitive to my many issues. Ms. Strauss helped me to help myself resolve issues with anxiety depression and life's transitions. I highly recommend Jessica R. Strauss, LCSW to anyone who needs help in realizing change is possible and relief is within reach, one step at a time."

"Asked lots of good questions and listened to what was going on in my life. He helped me build a daily, weekly, monthly plan to reach goals and limit behavior that was unproductive. "
