Surgical Dermatologist - Hackensack, NJ

"This is my experience with bringing my son to Dr. Goldberg's office. He is a first-time patient and I did extensive research on the Aetna website before meeting him. His reviews are outdated and this is my current experience. 1. My son had an appointment with Dr. Goldberg, and a young assistant offered that Dr. Goldberg is busy now and instead suggested that we see another doctor. I said NO and added that we would wait because I make an appointment with Dr, Goldberg after I do some research about him, not the substitute Doctor. 2. Dr. Goldberg did a visual screen from across a table. He did not even bother to exam up close my son's skin condition. 3. After a few minutes, Dr. Goldberg recommended using a "spray water" (NOT covered by the insurance) and a pad with medicine (covered by the insurance). He never explained what is in the recommended "spray water" or "medicine pads" that he prescribed. 4. We also made a follow-up appointment. The receptionist asked "do you want to buy the "spray water"? By this time, neither the doctor nor the receptionist explained what are the ingredients. When I replied that I don't know the size and the cost of the spray water, can I at least see it first, she made an impatient gesture and, then place the "spray water" on the table. It is a 2 oz bottle of "spray water", it cost me $31.99 and it is not covered by insurance. 5. After I walk out of the office, I feel like I just went to a retail store that sells spray water, and not seeing a doctor for medical care because the doctor never closely examined my son and never took the time to explain what the prescribed medicine consists of? He never asked if my son has any possible allergic interactions with other drugs that my son may be taking. I came to a dermatologist after consulting with my son's family doctor. After the visit, I felt like this doctor is really interested in performing cosmetic surgery with bigger profit, and does not care about my son's acne issues."
