Dermatologists - Englewood, NJ

"As a doctor myself, I am very disappointed with my whole patient experience!! First off, when I called to make the appointment with Dr. Chang Bea Son, I was told I was not going to be seen by him. Then I wondered why my insurance, Aetna, would list him as a dermatologist to be chosen? Second, I was told my appointment was at 1:10pm. I arrived to the health center at 1pm and at 1:30pm I was still waiting to be seen. I asked the front desk staff about my appointment time, I also mentioned I arrived earlier and that I needed to go to work soon. Ten minutes later, 1:40pm, I was called to have my appointment. Third, the health care practitioner that saw me was a nice female. I asked her medical questions about my needs and she answered them, politely. However, she didn't introduce herself. I don't know who she was, what kind of doctor or specialist she was. Forth, I told the office staff (a female) that I had waited for 30 min to get my appointment and that I was not happy about it. She gave me a weird/annoyed look and told me to go talk to the front staff because that was not her problem. Frankly, this medical appointment was a medial disappointment. Not patient-centric at all. The whole staff acted like they have a "monopoly" and patients just have to suck it up! Nobody apologized for Dr. Son not being in the office to see me or for making waste 30 min. But if a patient is late 5-10min that persons misses their appointment. Now these people will charge my insurance and myself for a poor service instead of a great service that created benefit for me. This is one of the reasons we hear Healthcare in the US is broken!! I feel for patients that don't have medical knowledge to confront their HCPs and have to be stuck with poor service. The worst part, is that both my insurance and the HCP will read my review but neither will care about it!"
