Obstetricians and Gynecologists - Clifton, NJ

"Horrible experience! I went for my regular annual exam that would have been covered nearly 100%. Instead, they performed a procedure on me without my knowledge or consent, so they could bill my insurance (and it cost me hundreds of dollars), then they put a wrong code on my mammogram prescription and the mammo, that should have been free, cost me another couple hundred dollars. There was absolutely no help from the office while trying to resolve the issue. I have filed a complain with my insurance company and will escalate. Stay away from this office! The doctor is more interested in promoting and selling his "other" products and services."

"I went to this doctor for my First time to see how it went since she is close to where I live. She treats you like a dollar sign. It was a super fast visit with little to attention to my concerns. Did my yearly pap. I call for my results and they tell me I have to come in. Then when I get there they tell me I have to pay a copay. I ask why I don’t have concerns and all i want is my results. The doctor saids if you don’t pay anything today she can not give you your results. You can even pay $10 and she ll give you the results. What ??? I left I told my Primary doctor to call and get them and everything was fine. "

"First time with Dr Stefano Stella and he is nice and very professional. He took the time to listen and gave advice. Excellence bed manners and the procedure was pain free because he was very gentle. I will definitely come back. "

"I got to the office, filled out my paperwork, the girl takes it and proceeds to tell me the doctor was not there and I would be seen by a PA. I am a NEW patient. I've never even met the doctor. My appointment was at 4:15pm. Someone could have CALLED me to see if I wanted to change the appointment. Instead, they make me drive there, fill out the paperwork and then ask if I want to change it. I sat down and waited ... and waited. I then got up and asked since the doctor was not there would I be waiting a long time. They couldn't say but should be next. They proceeded to call two other people. I proceeded to get up and say I don't want this appointment and please give me my paperwork back. No one seemed to care at all. It almost seemed "normal" for the doctor not to be there. Although they stated she herself had surgery today, I believe any doctor's office should call patients if the doctor is not going to be there, especially those with NO relationship with the doctor or PA at all. I see PA's a lot and love them. But for a first visit, it should be with a doctor. And if it is not, then simply make a phone call. This was an awful experience and I now have to waste more time and find another new doctor. Bad business. I have no idea how the doctor is, I never had the chance to meet her."
