"Dr. Allison diagnosed me with Boderline Personality Disorder after a single 15-minute visit in order to avoid discharging me as 'Against Medical Advice' so that insurance would pay him. He did not reveiw the previous 8 years worth of records compiled by my previous psychiatrist, nor did he ever inquire if such records existed. This has led to discrimination against me in virtually all facets of the healthcare system. Do not allow this man to further complicate your mental and physical healthcare concerns."

"EWBY I wish there was a negative star rating...My brother spent 4 days in CMC after surgery. The day he was released, he was home about 4 hours. He had laid down and slept then awoke with severe swelling at surgery site and redness. He had 102.6 fever. I take him back to CMC Main ER with these complications from his lung surgery. He was fine in the ER, he was fine in radiology, he was fine in CT for testing. He was fine the 4 days he was in hospital after his lung surgery. Placed in a room, Dr. Newby decides not to follow My brothers prescribed pain maintenance. He has been on these prescribed meds for about 12 to 13 years. She decides she wants to take this CANCER patient off his pain meds? He already suffers with degenerative disk disease and now lung cancer and lung surgery and she decides he doesn't need his prescribed pain medication. Ok yes, here comes a problem. When this Dr. Newby learns his family will remove him from this hospital......she has him involuntarily COMMITTED. She claims 'he's not making good decisions'......Doesn't contact the family, he's not given an opportunity for a second opinion. She just goes to a magistrate to involuntary commit him to that hospital. The man is 64 years old with debilitating pain, on disability from the condition, suffering now with cancer in BOTH lungs and Dr. Newby decides she wants to save him from pain medication. I'm not sure if anyone reading this statement thinks this is sound medical treatment or just a clueless drug addiction psychiatrist playing god and flexing her ego. If my brother had issues with taking his pain meds, he would've been removed from his pain doctors care, but he has been a patient there for approximately 5 years with no abuse issues ever. I'm a little mad but actually I'm more terrified that this doctor, unfamiliar with my brother, has nothing to do with his condition he seeks treatment, has the ability to make such drastic decision to force him to stay in a hospital just so she can force her plan of treatment on him because she decides he doesn't need his medication. His family was not even notified. The other destructive repercussions of her actions is...based on what she has done to him, he now will NOT allow the doctors to remove his other lung and will now risk dying from the lung cancer from which he suffers to avoid being imprisoned as Dr. Newby as done to him. Very BAD decisions made by a Very BAD incompetent doctor. Her actions will set the course for me to loose my brother much sooner than necessary. Yes I do hold her actions responsible for my brother deciding to not go through this ordeal again to remove his cancer riddled lung. Her actions will go before legal counsel and because as she accused my brother of not making good decisions, she will have to explain her bad decisions to a panel of her peers. The medication my brother is perscribed is what my brother takes...he has taken it for many years. He takes no street narcotics, and he doesn't take more than prescribed....nothing extra. Patients BEWARE!"
