Cardiologists - Hannibal, MO

"Terrible experience with Dr. Kodali. I was looking for a cardiologist because my heart rate goes up >30 bpm when I stand up or change position and I have fainted a couple of times. I suspected POTS. She ran a few tests and I asked for a tilt table test. She misread my tilt test and told me I didn’t have POTS and she had to be corrected by a nurse. I did have POTS, and I asked what do I do next to treat it? She said “You have to come in for a separate appointment for that. We’ll go over your treatment plan and exercises and things you can do to manage symptoms then.” I asked if I could make it a virtual visit since it’s just talking and I have to pay for parking plus my appointment when I come. I was told it wasn’t an option. When I came, I waited 90 minutes past my appointment time for Dr. Kodali. When she finally appeared, she said “So there’s not really a treatment plan for POTS, besides what you’re already doing,” (drinking water, eating extra salt, trying compression stockings) “it’s just something you have to deal with and it sucks.” I said, “But you didn’t say that before, you told me to come in… didn’t you say we’d go over a treatment plan and exercises today?” And she pulled out her phone and said “Well, if you google exercises for POTS…” ARE YOU SERIOUS?? $20 for parking, $90 for the appointment, waiting 90 minutes, and you spend 5 minutes with me to tell me there’s no plan, GOOGLE IT??? Absolutely ridiculous, unprofessional, and unacceptable."
