" My wife was diagnosed with small cell lung cancer and oncologist, Dr. April L. Nofzinger, D.O. was able to see us in a matter of days after my wife’s diagnosis. Dr Nofzinger clearly described my wife’s condition to us and she explained the best treatment, state-of-the-art chemotherapy, to cure or stop the advance of this aggressive cancer. Dr Nofzinger explained the situation to us, clearly, fact by fact, including what was happening and the best treatment plan, in detail. She listened to our concerns and answered all of our questions thoroughly. Any questions I later had were answered on the telephone by the doctor, herself! Dr Nofzinger is very resourceful and went above and beyond my expectations. Her staff scheduled my wife’s appointments and we were in the Chemo Room within a couple days. After several weeks, my wife’s lungs were clear of any evidence of cancer! The doctor’s staff worked with our insurance and scheduled the appointments for us with no problems. Her staff, including her awesome nurse, Kathy, the ladies at the front desk, and the nurse who met us at every office visit, were friendly, attentive and very efficient. Everything moved quickly and efficiently. We were glad to have had Dr Nofzinger as my wife’s oncologist! She was the right person at the right time for us! This doctor made this time of uncertainty over my wife’s prognosis a time of courage and confidence! I am so glad we found Dr Nofzinger! She is awesome! She is remarkable! "

"Dr Nagi seemed kind enough at first but as we got further along me and my wife realized how little patience she has for patients.   I was told at age 37 stage 4 gall bladder cancer which has maltised  through my body 4 days before my first child was born and  I most likely won’t last 5 years I still have never meet Dr Nagi and at this point hope I don’t have to.  My outlook is getting better no signs of cancer right now I’m showing some of the strongest results doctors have seen though I’m still on chemo, Dr blocks vitamin regiment from the block center in Chicago cannabis by pill and strict diet no sugar meat dairy.   I would have a phone video interview once a month with Nagi and she’s always in a hurry to hang up multiple times rolling her eyes at us asking more questions case in point a few days ago hopefully our last interaction she informed me the new medication likes to attack organs and shut them down I asked to elaborate cutting in as politely as possible as she tried to push through and more on she repeated what she previously said and tried to move on again when I asked a 3rd time she rolled her eyes as she’s done multiple times before then finally answered the question.  Today I sit here in chemo typing this realizing she never put in for blood tests for the new medication which the nurses did in the chemo office but my numbers came in just now 3/4 of the way through my treatment what if my numbers were too far out of spec?   Why take pre tests if the blood test is irrelevant to treatment?   This kind of thing has happened multiple times as well 2-1/2 months of pushing for our cancer type to be verified from my gull bladder and endoscopy biopsy’s that should have been 1-2 weeks she never put the order in me and my wife were calling her assistant every few days still no orders but next month she would deny all saying she put in the order  Bottom line I’m still undergoing treatment for a life threatening cancer and I’m risking backlash from Nagi who will still be overseeing my care but I’m switching doctors in the same office to save some of you from being stuck with an inpatient doctor who feels chemo is the one and only solution to cancer and most likely has a workload larger than she prefers.   This is the only thing I can think of to cause this rift between us even if I was a grumpy old man who raised his kids and has no survival options I still deserve a doctor who will listen not cancel treatment schedules days prior due to petty pride and despite what’s going on restrains themselves from eye rolls undertones and attitude.     I’ve been working with many other doctors and current patients cancer survivors and nutritions none of which get the revenue Nagi is getting but a million times more sensitive and caring to our situation.    Be safe be educated about your disease by multiple doctors literature and studies and find a kind doctor with an open mind they are out there"
