"I recently saw Dr. Scuka and am definitely worse off for the decision. While he brought up some insightful points in our sessions, he chose to deliver them in an emotionally volatile way, including raising his voice, spouting accusations, and continuously interrupting. For example, we touched upon Issue X and instead of attempting to find out why I was anxious around Issue X (past trauma and abuse) he berated me and told me I needed to change. I was curious if I was over-reacting but my partner reassured me I was not. I am thankful that with age and my own career path I have realized that just because someone has the appropriate credentials does not mean they are a good fit for every patient. I am sure there are people out there that respond well to being berated and bullied into change. I personally want a therapist that works with me to identify beliefs, values, and fears and address the root issues to create peaceful, long-lasting, change. Furthermore, after I ended these therapy sessions I requested Dr. Scuka to only contact my partner, not me, if any further communication was necessary, explaining I felt contact with him would be emotionally unhealthy for me. He chose to ignore this request for healthy boundaries which is nothing less than disturbing. His level of unprofessional behavior is appalling. Please take my advice and find another therapist. *I also saw in another review that Dr. Scuka pressured the client into purchasing his publications in the first session which was unfortunately also true in our situation. This was probably a bad sign I chose to ignore hoping for the best"

"She's very nice, but she kept falling asleep during my sessions with her.. I felt like she judged me for some of the choices I've made in my life She's not very understanding when it comes to people who are looking for help/don't have a plan yet/already using every bit of courage to seek help - she seems to work best with people who already know what they want and need a sounding board"
