"We’ve always seen dr shriver since the kids were born. We met her at the hospital. I had no idea how much better she was than others until I was with my friends for a few of their kid’s appointments. They say comparison is the thief of joy, but not in this case! Comparing her to the other providers makes me very thankful we found her. Dr. Shriver always makes us feel seen and heard, never talks down to us or makes us feel judged, and actually offers helpful relevant information about what we need to worry about for that age. When she explains things, it is obvious she is a genius and stays up to date on new best practices yet somehow explains it in a way we can understand. She gets on my level instead of talking down. She takes away a lot of the feelings that I have no idea what I’m doing and I’m going to screw my kid up. I feel empowered to be a better parent every time we have an appointment. My friends leave their kid’s appointments feeling dismissed and confused. More doctors should be like her. "
