"Dr. Perrino saw me for extreme abdominal pain. I had also been unable to eat solid food for two weeks. He ordered a ct scan but said everything was normal and scheduled my next test in 3 more weeks. He was not concerned that would mean I hadn't eaten for over a month by then! I took the results of the ct scan that he ordered to another doctor and immediately the cause of my pain was found. The bile duct was three times too large but Dr Perrino didn't find it unusual! After confirming the diagnosis with a third doctor I called Dr Perrino back and spoke to him asking if the bile duct was too large. He still didn't see the problem. I went on to have an ercp done and stones, sludge and scar tissue were found. A cut was made in the duct and a stent inserted. My pain was gone! If I had stayed with doctor Perrino I would still be unable to eat without blinding pain. He should not be allowed to practice medicine if cannot read the tests he oders and doesn't know the anatomy pertinent to his specialty! Shouldn't a gastro doc know the normal size of a bile duct and that if you have been on liquids your blood work will come back normal? Do not let him near you or anyone you care about. He does not have the skills to diagnose anything that isnt easily seen on a scan. Maybe he could see a large tumor if it was unmistakable, but I could do that. There are qualified doctors near Atlanta. Do not trust this doctor with your health! I would not leave such a harsh review if I didn't confirm with two other specialists that he should have seen the problem. I hope this is helpful and you are able to get well!"
